In Cavnish folklore, tazimy are dragon-like creatures. There are many different types of tazimy, from the fire-breathing, multi-horned and four-winged varieties said to live in the high mountains to the small, two-winged dragons that nest inside tree trunks in the old forests. In some versions of the folklore, dragons have the gift of human speech — a remnant of the old belief that some gifted humans called Dragonlords could communicate with them. But there have been no dragons — and no Dragonlords — for some six hundred years.

These days, dragons are generally believed to be purely fable, but in some remote areas of Cavnal, you may still hear stories of strange noises from the bogs and forests, and livestock disappearing at night.
